Cremation
Cremation has become a popular option for many people because it can be more flexible as to where and when you hold a service. You can have a traditional funeral service before a cremation or a memorial service at any time with or without the urn present. You can keep the urn, scatter the ashes or have the urn buried in a grave or columbarium where we can hold a service.
Simple Cremation Montana owns and operates our own crematory. This ensures you loved one never leaves our staff's care. Our cremation suite is located at Sunset Memorial Gardens in the north Valley of Helena. If you wish to have a witnessed cremation we are honored to offer that option in a comfortable and private environment.
Memorial Service - Celebration of Life - Memorial Gatherings
A life celebration allows family and friends time to gather and find support from other friends and loved ones while sharing memories and unique stories in a less formal setting. In many cases, the loved one’s remains are not present; it is simply a time to display pictures, share stories and uniquely celebrate a life well-lived. Many life celebrations take place weeks or even months following a death, no matter whether cremation or traditional burial services are chosen.
We also work with all church denominations assisting in arranging and conducting formal memorials at the church. We specialize in Catholic rituals and are able to assist in every capacity you desire.
Casket Funeral
Casket Funeral Followed by Cremation
In some cases, a loved one or their survivors wish for a traditional service with viewing before cremation. This allows family and friends the opportunity to view their loved one in a casket prior to cremation, while keeping the expense lesser than that of traditional services requiring cemetery property and other additional services.
Casket Funeral Followed by Burial
A Traditional Funeral Service includes a family or public viewing of the deceased at a visitation. The visitation can be held the night before the funeral service or an hour or two prior to the funeral service on the same day. Following the visitation there would be a service or ceremony, either at the funeral home, church, or another location. The funeral service would be followed by burial of the casket. We again stress that we specialize in Catholic rituals, our embalmer has years of experience and is one of the only embalmers in the state of Montana that holds a bachelor's degree in mortuary sciences.
