Victoria Lynn Pope

Victoria Lynn Pope (Vickie) passed away at the age of 71 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, MT on the morning of August 5 th , 2023, due to many years of ongoing heart problems.

Vickie was born on May 15th , 1952, in Helena, MT to Jack and Sue Rogers. She has 2 siblings, Patty and Linda. Vickie has known many stray cats in her lifetime. Lucky was one of these stray cats, Lucky was a special cat as she lived for quite a long time and was known for being the orneriest of all the cats that Vickie ever owned. Lucky would only let Vickie pet her and hold her, everyone else who tried to get near to Lucky would get bit or scratched. Vickie is married to Richard George Pope in Helena, MT. She has had 3 children in her lifetime. Vickie went to college for a year or two to learn data entry. Vickie has held many different jobs in her life from office work to home healthcare to being a substitute teacher. Vickie even ran a daycare for a few years.

She is survived by her spouse Richard, sisters Patty and Linda, son Ricky Pope, and one cat.

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents, grandma Clara Rogers, many cats, and 2 sons (JJ and one unnamed).

The family will have a small informal memorial service from 2-5 PM on September 2nd , 2023, at the Rustic Shelter at Lewis & Clark Fairgrounds for anyone wishing to celebrate Vickie’s life. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the local Lewis & Clark Humane Society at 2112 E Custer Ave, Helena MT 59602. Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family.
