We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Simple Cremation
Nan Marie (Applegate) Tillo, of East Helena, MT passed away in her home from a short battle with pancreatic cancer surrounded by her family on July 27, 2022. She was 78 years old.
Nan was born on July 20th, 1944 in Helena Montana to Crawford and Marie Applegate along with two brothers, Dick and Clarence and 4 sisters, Margaret, Cora, Relpha and Joan. Nan married the love of her life and husband of 60 years, Joseph Tillo Jr. Together they had three children, Mike, Jodee and Tony.
Nan was an amazing quilter. She spent many hours sewing quilts, making sure that each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren received this special gift. She was also a ferocious puzzle wizard. You would never walk into her home and not see a card table with a puzzle in the works and a bowl of candy. Nan had many wonderful friends throughout her life including her Friday night friends. She and Joe spent many Friday evenings with this special group. I am sure it won’t be the same without her.
Nan is survived by her husband and best friend, Joe Tillo, her oldest son Mike (Sandy) Tillo, her daughter Jodee (Mike) Lemm, and her youngest son Tony (Tina) Tillo, her 6 grandchildren, DJ, Zach, Mykell, Leesah, Kelly & Joey, as well as her 3 great grandchildren, Deegan, Bridger & Cally. She is also survived by her sister Joan Sieler.
Cremation has taken place. She will rest at Forestvale Cemetery, Helena, Mt. At the request of Nan, there will be no formal service.
