Mavanee Jean Ulsher Hoyer, 59, of Helena MT passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and best friend at home on July 2nd, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mavanee was born in Helena MT on October 23rd, 1962 to Andrew Ulsher and Sheron Bailey. She was the second oldest. She lived life to the fullest and loved being outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing and camping, or taking drives in the mountains. She enjoyed every minute with her grandchildren Cameron and Bailee, and wanted to be the best grandmother she could be. She also loved spending time with her many different animals and grand-dog Indigo.
Mavanee started taking stained glass classes more than 20 years ago and fell in love with it and that is when her imagination and artistic ability really blossomed. She had so many clients that became friends. Her biggest dream with her business came true when she was asked to replace and refurbish the windows in the United Methodist Church in Boulder, MT. She took so much pride in her work and was a perfectionist and she would always say she is only limited by your imagination.
Mavanee is survived by her husband Doug Hoyer, her two children Jeremiah (Ashley) & Sarah Ulsher, her dad Andrew (Sally) Ulsher, grandchildren Cameron, Bailee and Kaiya. Her siblings, Natalie Pennington (Ray Whiting), Steven Timmer, Shawna Mackin (Brent Lyltle), Brenda (Claude) Trembley, Julia (Jamie) Streib, Kathy (Jamie) Strausbaugh, Brittany (Zach) Sweeney, Christopher (Svitlana) Mackin, Susanna (Tim) Barthule, Ginger (Dustin) Kunz, and Cricket Martin and a very large extended family.
Mavanee was preceded in death by her mother, Sheron Hart, her grandmother Thelma Grey, her bother Michael Timmer, and numerous other relatives. In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made in Mavanee’s name to the Lewis & Clark Humane Society. The family would like to extend a special thank you to hospice for helping out in a time of need.
A celebration of Mavanee's life will be held from 1:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Strong Pavilion, 5827 Highway 12 West, Helena, Montana (look for signs on the left just past Colorado Gulch).
