On Friday, June 24, 2022, Levi Edwards, loving father of one daughter (14), passed away at the age of 35 after being struck by a hit and run driver while riding his bicycle in Lakeland, Florida.
Levi was born on January 7, 1987, in Helena, MT to Nona (Edwards) Keeler and Mike McGuire. He attended school in Helena and worked at several local restaurants including several years at the Brewhouse. On May 1, 2008, he became a father to Elaina Edwards, who was his light, joy, and hope. He was at his very brightest when they were together. In 2018, he moved to Florida where he continued in the restaurant business including stints at Disney World and Cheddars.
Levi was an avid music lover with eclectic taste and played a mean trombone. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh, and his ability to chat with almost anyone on any subject. He was an award-winning debater with a competitive nature and loved it when someone thought they could with an argument with him. They usually ended up surrendering with a few exceptions. He was a maestro in the kitchen and had a flair for creating old dishes in new ways. He enjoyed snowboarding and skateboarding until a knee injury put an end to such activities. He took pleasure in sharing his interest in folfing, and concerts with his daughter and sister, including taking both girls to their first concerts. He and Elaina spent hours sharing their perspectives on various anime productions. Levi found his solace in spending time in the mountains and at the ocean.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaina Edwards, mother, Nona Keeler, sister, Kaylee Keeler, grandmothers Donna Edwards and Jeannie Keeler, father, Mike McGuire, brother Brendan McGuire, long-term companion, Kati Kühl and her daughters, Lily and Rose, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, John Edwards and Graham Keeler and stepdad Kelly Keeler.
Cremation is being arranged and a memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that contributions be made to Elaina’s College Fund or to the Go Fund Me located at https://gofund.me/4f548d13. Checks can be made out to Corinne Moore and sent to Nona Keeler, 648 North Jackson Street, Helena, MT 59601.
