Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of David Isola, 68, of Helena, MT who passed away after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
David was born in 1955 in Butte, MT to Lloyd and Martha Isola. After graduating from Butte High in 1974, he married his high school sweetheart, Janet Dockins, in 1976. They had three children, Amanda, Maria, and Caitlin.
They moved to Helena in 1978 in order for David to attend Helena VoTech to study Building Trades. After practicing carpentry for numerous years he went to work for the City of Helena where he worked in the Parks Department. After serving the community for many years David pursued a new adventure and went back to school at Montana Tech to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Drafting Technology.
He enjoyed hiking, floating, camping, skiing, riding motorcycles, dirt biking, beach combing, traveling, and listening to music, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to, Sheree Isola, for providing a kidney for David. He lived nearly 20 additional years, giving him the gift of time to spend with all of his grandchildren who were the pride and joy of his life.
David is survived by his wife, Janet; his three children, Amanda (David), Maria (Ty), Caitlin (Adam); his 9 grandchildren, Hannah, Madison, Ruthie, Mable, Caroline, Greta, Jared, Jillian, Jollene; his father Lloyd; his sister Sheree (Bill) and brother Andy (René); his brother-in-law Bill (Kristen); and his 5 nieces and nephews, Eric, Ashley, Nancy, John Michael, and Erin; and his many dearly loved friends.
