Barbara Jean Grimes
Obituary
Barbara Jean Grimes passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 91 with her daughters by her side.
Barbara was born to Samuel C and Claudia B Spotts in Ida Grove, Iowa on February 26, 1932. She was the youngest of 11 children.
She married Thomas W. Grimes on November 7, 1956 and moved to the family ranch southeast of Cascade where for over 60 years they lived and raised their four daughters. She was a homemaker and resided at the ranch until the death of her husband, after which time she moved to Helena to be closer to her daughters.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, one grandson and her husband, Tom after 62 years of marriage.
Barbara is survived by daughters Tammy (Ed) Scherman of Anamoose, ND, Kelly (Brett) Williams of Helena, MT, Leslie Grimes, Ron English of Saint Cloud, MN and Rena Grimes, Rob Creel of Helena, MT; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family.
