Obituary

Zacheriah Matthew Blazon born January 11, 1975; Left us too soon, and passed October 12, 2022 . Born to Vicki and Robert in Seattle Washington. At just 5 pounds 7 ounces he started small but grew to make a huge impact in this country, world and all the lives fortunate enough to cross his path. Beginning as the baby you could loose in a blanket Zach grew into an adventurous boy, a headstrong teen, adoring father and incredible man. Zach is survived by his three daughters Kaetlyn, Hannah and Abigail. To which whom he loved more than anything; mother Vicki, who loved him more than anything; his father Bob Ballard; his adoring siblings Cody and Jessica; other brother Vern; nephew Bryce Zacheriah; grandmother Eva; uncle Terry and family; and dog Bella. Also beloved by brother in law Donny; sons in law Connor and Jonathan; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Zach is now reunited with his father Robert; his dog Rocky; and grandfather Henry "Hank" Campbell, who left this world just last November. The bond between these two was too strong to be broken and they are now happy, healthy and devoid of pain for all eternity. Rest assured they are now carrying on their shenanigans, cracking jokes, and keeping them in line up there. A graduate of Cheney High school class of '93 Zach then went on to marry and start a family before deciding to join the military in 2002. In his years with the Air Force, based in Port Hueneme California as an instructor for mechanics, he also served a tour in Iraq. Throughout his military career Zach received multiple awards and letters of commendation for his leadership skills, drive and ability to inspire. Always a hard worker, he earned his Associates in Arts degree in mechanics while enlisted. Zach was continuing his education up until his passing; studying Outdoor Recreation Leadership through Eastern Washington University. During his time in the service some of the many awards received were "Airforce Acheivement Medal"; "Airman of the Year"; "The Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon" and "Iraq Campaign Medal" for outstanding service in support of 'Operation Iraqi Freedom' while assigned to the 506th Air Expeditionary Group. Honorably discharged in 2011 at the rank of Master Sargent Zacheriah Matthew Blazon. After his three girls graduated high school Zach then followed love to Helena Montana. It is here where a lifelong hobby as a botony enthusiast was turned into a profession. There was very little he wasn't able to cultivate and grow successfully. Also a great outdoorsman he enjoyed hiking, camping, hunting, fishing and almost anything to take him outdoors. It was in the wilderness with all its beauty he could breathe fully. Services will be held at a future date yet to be determined. Any person(s) interested in attending may direct questions to victorialeann_03@hotmail.com. The family knows what an impact Zach has had on so many people. Just as we were blessed to have known Zach, we know he felt blessed as well to have such wonderful people he chose into his life. We would love to encourage anyone unable to travel for his services to pay their respects in the best ways you know would make Zach proud. "Death is not extinguishing the light. It is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come" ~Ravindranath Tagore
