IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William "Joe"
Watts
November 14, 1959 – March 14, 2022
William "Joe" Watts, 62 years young, passed on to be with our Heavenly Father on March 14, 2022, at his home in Helena, MT. After fighting cancer for two years, surpassing his life expectancy once; Joe's long, hard battle ended, surrounded by loving family members in the early morning hours.
Joe was born in Hialeah, FL on November 14, 1959 to Boyd Max Watts and Donna Lea (Downs) Watts . He grew up with two brothers: Bret and Grif Watts and a sister; Beth Watts. Joe found the love of his life, Wendy Watts, and married her on May 6, 2014 in Coeur d'Alene, ID. He took on the greatest challenge of all times, becoming a father to six children, who would test his patience and limits throughout the years. But never did he stray from showing unconditional love and support to them and Wendy.
With his career as a truck driver, he loved nothing more than to take his wife, kids and even grandchildren on the road with him. He always said it was a hard job because he missed time with his family. But when he was home he created the best family meals that were filled with love, laughter and loud music. There was always plenty of food for neighbors and friends. Everytime he came home from a trip, the house would fill because everyone knew there was going to be good food. With the ability to find ways to bring the family together there were always camping or fishing trips that turned into the greatest memories. He always succeeded in finding someone to prank, whether that was using the blow horn when everyone was relaxing, giving condoms at a baby shower, or welcoming new family or friends with his famous cockroach cup. There was never a dull moment with him around.
Joe is survived by his spouse Wendy Watts; children Connie (Tony) Schreckendgust, Jessica (Matthew) Dyrdahl, Josh Diaz, Sarah (Richie) Cavazza, Tayeler (Maxx DaSilva) Diaz, Ethan (Karis) Diaz; grandchildren Kadin, Karver, RJ, Jaymee, Kabella, Noah, Koa, Kai, and Leighton; brothers Bret (Sherri) Watts, Grif (Pam) Watts; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many more family and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his father Boyd Max Watts, his mother Donna Lea Downs, and sister Beth Watts.
