William T. Mills passed away peacefully with family by his side October 22, 2024.  He was 91 years old.

Bill was born and raised in Helena, Mt.  After graduation from Helena High, he pursued a degree in Horticulture at Montana State. A proud Sigma Chi, he formed lifelong friendships and a passion for Bobcat football. Discussing the upcoming season or game was a favorite conversation.  After college Bill served the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot and later flew helicopters for the National Guard.

In his professional life, Bill became President of the State Nursery & Seed Co., leaving a lasting impact on the horticulture industry.

Known for his adventurous spirt, Bill embraced life to the fullest -whether flying, boating, or exploring the outdoors.  For over 30 years, Bill cherished the lake life at Canyon Ferry, where he was celebrated for his talent for bringing people together and love of a good time.  His favorite motto, "Go Do!!!", inspired daughters and grandchildren to live boldly.

Bill will be greatly missed by his daughters' Shelly Daly (John), Sheila Rude (Darryle), Susan Jackson (Tim), 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and countless friends.

Rest in peace dad – you'll always be in our hearts. Cheers to you with a "Cold Frothy Beverage" for a life well-lived and never forgotten.

The family extends a heartfelt "Thank you" to the VA hospital and care team for their remarkable support.

A small celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date, honoring his wish.
