IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wendy Elizabeth
Hill
March 30, 1969 – September 26, 2024
Wendy Elizabeth Hill (Kembel) age 55, passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2024, in the loving care of her family. She put up a hell of a fight against breast cancer since 2021. Wendy was born on March 30, 1969, in Billings, Montana to Jim and Judy Kembel.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Mike Hill; mother, Judy Kembel; sister, Angie (Todd) Atkinson; nieces, Kendra Atkinson, Mike'la (Eric) Tomasetti; stepchildren, Jamie Hoovestal (Dax, children Hayes and Jaymes), Maggie Danielson (Kaden, children Van and Heidi), Emily Hill (Taylor Tuiasosopo), and Brock Hill (Abby and son Blaine); and many other relatives. Wendy is preceded in death by her father, Jim Kembel; aunts, Lana and Joanne; cousin Michelle; grandparents; and others including the recent passing of Father-in-law, Jim Hill.
Wendy worked at KTVH since 1998 up until a month before her passing. She was extremely close to her coworkers, many of whom became her best friends. She truly loved being around her "work peeps" (aka "The Beaves"). Wendy was dedicated to her work and rarely took time off, so it was extremely hard for her to quit working in August due to her condition. Until her last days, Wendy kept in touch with her coworkers by texting, calling, and receiving funny and heartfelt voice messages.
Wendy married Mike Hill, in 2006. They enjoyed watching sports together and hosting family holiday dinners at their house. They also loved taking weekend trips to Coeur d'Alene every year along with
other trips like watching her celebrity crush, Tom Brady. Mike had the toughest job of all these past few years. We thank him for his dedication as well as all the great people at hospice and Wendy's cancer care team along her very tough journey.
Wendy was an extraordinary person to anyone she had a relationship with. Her spunk and humor were infectious. She loved making everyone laugh with her quick-wittedness. She loved singing to old and new hip-hop music. Wendy was known for her impressive memory. She often shared stories from her and her sister's childhood as well as stories about her two nieces which she adored dearly. Wendy and her sister, Angie, had a great relationship. They never failed to make each other laugh until they cried even just from looking at each other at the dinner table. After Wendy's father Jim passed away in 2018, Wendy and her mom, Judy, spent every Sunday together up until Wendy got sick. Wendy left her family and friends with a hole in their hearts that cannot be replaced.
