Obituary

Wayne E. Vessey passed away July 3 in Clancy, MT.

He was born in Pasadena, California on May 24, 1941 to Carol Vessey and Dorothy Julian Vessey. Wayne helped on his dads ranch "Vessey & Co" for a few years.

He married Peggy in 1966 – they had three children, and later divorced. Wayne then married Kristina in 1977, who brought two daughters into the marriage. They later divorced in California.

Wayne graduated from San Bonito High School in 1960. He joined the Navy Reserves in 1958 and stayed for one and a half years while still in high school. He went on to college at Modesto Jr. College. He was also in the US Navy stationed in San Diego.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his son Phillip, and his brother Robert.

He is survived by his two daughters, Tricia Vessey of New York and Audra Vessey of California, as well as his brother Robert's wife and five children.

Wayne moved from California to Montana in 2004 and lived in Missoula for a few years, then moved to his residence in Lolo, Montana in 2009.

His best friend Fred Roehl also had a hand in his coming back to the Lord. Wayne said that when he was at the World's Fair in 1986 in Vancouver, B.C. he gave his life to the Lord Jesus. Fred preceded Wayne in death in 2015, which devastated him for quite some time.

Wayne had a couple of Care Givers taking care of him through the Veterans Administration: Lynn Roehl, Raylene Rusthoven, Rhiannon Quant, Shelah Rupp, and Marcia DeBrun. Lynn was also his Power of Attorney.

A small memorial service for Wayne will be held at the Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery later this year.
