Steven "Steve" Matthews has always been a Helena boy.  Born in 1967, the youngest of five children to Robert and Opal Matthews, Steve prided himself as a Montana Hillbilly.  He loved the outdoors, he loved his home in the woods, and most of all, he loved his children, Caitlin and Jake, both of whom are pursuing higher education in Missoula, Montana.

Steve saw his final sunset from his cabin in the woods, where many badminton matches, wiffle ball games, and cornhole tournaments were played; where he was the expert grill master for the best steaks; where he lived the life he loved.

A small family gathering will toast the life that was and remember the man who lived it.  In lieu of flowers, celebrate his life around campfires playing games and telling stories...and as Steve would say, "don't act like a city slicker".
