Sheila was born in Idaho Falls to Joe and Yvonne Velarde and Father Robert LaPier

They lived in Idaho and a short time in Colorado before moving to Helena, Mt. in 1970.

She is survived by her mom Yvonne Velarde (Helena), her children, Jesse Kroll (Brett)Helena, Jamie MedicineTop (Johnny)Helena, Chad Howard (Helena), Scotty Howard (Makayla)Helena, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Siblings, Lola Hagerty (Dan) White Hall, Stephan Velarde (Claudia) Helena, Lillian Bucy (Brent) Helena, Patsy Goble (Keith) Billings, Brandy Armstrong (Charlie) Great Falls, Jerry Nelson (Wy.) and Robert Nelson LaPier (Great Falls)

And her forever friend Jimmie Kroll

She was preceded in death by her daughter Fawn Marie Williams, sister JoAnn Copeland, Joe Velarde and Robert LaPier

She was a strong and stubborn woman and lived life on her own terms. Her children were the BEST part of her life. When she was a child she wanted to be a Farmer's wife. Life generally doesn't find us living our childhood dream and Sheila's life was no different. She enjoyed family and friends. Good times were not easily found for Sheila. She made the best she was able. Her family has many great memories.

Her greatest hope before passing was for her children to find peace and live a good and precious live filled with happiness and family.

Montana has been her home for many years, she lived, laughed, cried and loved here. She was loved here. She will be missed here.

She passed after losing a battle with an ongoing illness.
