Sharon Banks Merritt passed away Thursday, February 9th, surrounded by her family. She passed peacefully of end stage dementia. She was born in Sheridan, Montana to Stella and Bill Banks, and was one of 13 children. Sharon was a bartender by trade and made so many friends in her working years. Those who knew Sharon will remember her as a hard worker, never afraid to tackle any job. She is survived by Her husband Jay Merritt, sons Shane (Kim ) Merritt of Golden Valley, Arizona, Shawn Merritt (Jackie Larson) of Whitehall, Montana, grandson Coty (Breanna)Merritt of Great Falls, Montana, step granddaughters Jody Cargill (Scott)and Markie Sieler (Tyrel) of Whitehall, Montana, great granddaughters Kynzlee and Avery Merritt, sisters and frienda Linda Davis and Brenda Loucks, and brothers Paul and Melvin Banks. She will be missed by her family and friends as well as her to faithful companions Sara and Zoey. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
