Obituary

Sharon Lynn Bourke Dimich, 84, passed away on April 19, 2026, in Helena, Montana. She was born on January 7, 1942, in Great Falls, Montana, to Alfred “Fred” and Linnie Bourke, and joined six Bourke siblings at home. Lewistown, Montana, was her home from 1942 until 1991, when she moved to Helena. In 2004, she moved to Billings, where she lived until August 2018, before returning to Helena.

Her parents travelled extensively throughout the north and southwest US during her childhood. She attended elementary schools in Lewistown, MT; Sedona, AZ; San Diego, CA; Midland, TX; Mexico City, Mexico; and Oklahoma City, OK. Sharon graduated from Fergus High School in Lewistown in 1960 and earned both a B.A. in Art and a B.S. in Home Economics at the University of Montana in Missoula, where she was a proud member of the Alpha Phi Sorority.

Sharon married Bradley Parrish in Lewistown and together they had two children, Trevor and Andrea. Over her career, she worked as an art and a home economics teacher, a hospital administrator at Central Montana Medical Center, for the campaign of Chief Justice Jean Turnage, in the Montana Supreme Court as Administrator for Judicial Standards, and she retired in 2004. During that time, she was recognized with awards and known for her dedication to quality work.

She married Bill Dimich and moved to Billings in 2004 and they embarked on numerous adventures in travel. Sharon earned her 50-year pin with PEO and was active in chapters in Lewistown, Helena, and Billings. She also served in the UM house of Delegates from 1974-1976.

Sharon will be remembered for her deep Montana roots, her devotion to family, her intelligence, her independent spirit, and the many chapters of life she built across Lewistown, Helena, and Billings. She had a love of beautiful art and had stories from each trip of the things she saw and cherished.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Pat, Marcus, Jerry and John Bourke; her sisters, Betty Smith and Antoinette Nicholson; brothers and sisters in law, and her former husbands, Bradley Parrish and Bill Dimich.

Sharon is survived by her children Trevor (Donya) Parrish of Helena, MT, and Andrea (Stephen) Gabor of Nashville, TN, as well as by her four grandchildren, Shelbey Parrish of Missoula MT; Brady Parrish of Bozeman, MT; Nathan Renner of Bowling Green, KY; and Sarah Renner of Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marilyn Eberly of Kalispell, MT and numerous nieces and nephews: Mike Bourke of Lewistown, MT; John Bourke of Missoula, MT; Fred (Twana) Bourke of Billings, MT; Tim (Pam) Phillips of Redman OR; Andy Phillips of Silver City, MT; Tom Nicholson of Buffalo MT; Hal Bourke of Missoula, MT; Mark (Aleasha) Eberly of Boise, ID; Bonnie Bourke Rutter of Napa, CA; Susan Bourke, Sun Valley, ID; Kathleen MacDonald of Pleasanton, CA; Mary Antenson of Anacortes, WA; Rebecca Wallis of Austin, TX; Pam Smith of Midland, TX; Cindy Bergum of Billings, MT; and Angela Eberly Davis of Norfolk, VA.

A memorial will be held in Helena at St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral on June 13 at 1:00p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Montana Historical Society or to a local library or community organization. Those wishing to honor Sharon may also volunteer their time in support of animals, music, history, or their local community.
