Sandra "Sandie" Joyce Hausaman, of East Helena, MT, returned to her heavenly father on Monday January 10, 2022, at the age of 77.Sandie was born Sandra McCarty June 3, 1944, in Salt Lake City Utah to Ray McCarty and Genieve Mattingly. She was married at 16 to Kenneth Hughes and they had nine children within ten years. After 16 years of marriage they divorced. Soon after she found a personal relationship with Jesus and became a Christian. She corresponded with a man through a pen pal service she had joined in bible study. They wrote back and forth for about a year and on his vacation he flew to Montana. The day they met in person was the day he proposed, and they were married just days later. Sandie married David Hausaman on May 17, 1984, welcoming his son David Hausaman Junior to her family as well, and they lived happily together until Dave passed in March of 2015. Sandie then moved to back Montana to live with her oldest daughter. She is remembered as being a loving, kind, compassionate, woman who loved GOD, her family, friends, and her chihuahua Dreama. Sandie is survived by her children Jeffrey (Nettie) Hughes of Salt Lake City, UT; Tamyra (Michael) Blackburn of East Helena, MT; Merilyn Lacey of Conrad, MT; Debbie Cigarroa of Salt Lake City, UT; Daniel (Kasanita) Hughes of Elk Grove, CA; John Hughes of Salt Lake City, UT; David (Laura) Hausaman of Springfield, IL; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.She is preceded in death by her husband David Hausaman of Pocatello, ID; son Randy Hughes of Anaconda, MT; son Leonard Hughes of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter Audra Mauhar of Billings, MT; granddaughter Alicia Brook of Salt Lake City, UT; and her parents.Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm at Helena Valley Faith Center with small reception to follow in the Helena Valley Faith Center Family Room. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sandie's life.
