Robert Eugene Roudebush, 82, of Helena, MT passed away on June 26, 2024.

Robert Eugene Roudebush, 82, passed June 26,2024 at home surrounded by friends and family. Bob was born in Hermiston, Oregon on May 21st, 1942, the son of Miles and Marilla Roudebush. Bob graduated from McLaughlin High School in Milton Freewater, Oregon in 1960. He married Gailya Severin on August 4, 1962.

Bob was drafted by the Army in 1967 and attended the Hercules Missile School. He served in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Bob and Gay lived in Portland, Oregon in the early seventies where he worked for Coast to Coast and Fred Myers. In 1982 they moved to Hogeland, Montana and owned the Rowdys North Forty Bar & Café. In 1986 they moved to Harlem, Montana and operated the Nite Train Bar and Steakhouse. Bob later moved back to Pendleton, Oregon where he worked for the school district as a janitor. Three years ago he moved in with his daughter in Helena, Montana.

Bob loved sports, especially football and hockey. He was a lifetime Raiders fan. He watched the Oakland Raiders play their very first game at Frank Uhlr Field. Bob loved to dance and was known to be the life of the party with his quick wit and "famous sayings."  He loved to play pool and support his pool team in Harlem, Montana. Bob loved his family and friends very much. Bob was a member of the Hogeland American Legion. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother Miles Roudebush, sisters Twylla Feigner, Marilyn Hutton and Sallie Sigsbee, and his wife Gailya Roudebush (1992) and son Robert Derrick Roudebush (1996). Bob is survived by his daughter Deborah Roudebush of Helena, Montana and by daughter of choice, Jacqueline Martin.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Simple Cremation Montana, 315 E 6th Avenue, Helena, Montana at 2:00 PM. A reception will be held immediately after at Deb's House in the North Valley. Please join us for food and drinks and share some great stories. "Have a Honk!"    Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family.
