IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert "Bob"
Marvin Dallas
March 26, 1974 – November 11, 2025
Robert Marvin Dallas (Bob) passed away the morning of November 11th after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends. Bob fought with humor and a positive attitude for 3+ years.
Bob was born March 26th, 1974 to Don and Linda Dallas. Bob was raised in Canyon Creek on the family ranch attending Canyon Creek School and graduating from Capital High School in 1992. He spoke often about the fun times he had with his two brothers and sister. He worked for the Department of Veteran Affairs, which allowed him to help veterans with medical billing problems, which was so important and fulfilling for him.
Bob was an avid softball player in Helena for many years. He also enjoyed playing darts. Through these activities, he made many life-long friends. He enjoyed traveling to softball and dart tournaments throughout Montana and participated in several dart challenges in Las Vegas.
In 2005 Bob met his life partner and love Lisa McCarthy. Bob and Lisa enjoyed traveling together across the U.S embarking on many adventures, visiting Lisa's family in Chicago where they attended a Chicago Cubs baseball game sitting in the bleachers with the "bleacher bums", participating in tournaments, or just striking out on any road that seemed interesting. Lisa shared her love of the Southwest with Bob and they made several wonderful memories in their trips through Arizona and New Mexico.
Bob was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Toronto Blue Jays and his beloved Montana State Bobcats where he was a season ticket holder for many years. Bob is survived by his lifelong love, Lisa McCarthy, her mother Peggy Smith of Helena, and her sisters, Catherine (Robert) Morris of Helena, and Leslie (Bruce) Ruttenberg of Wheeling, Illinois, his dad, Donald Dallas of Canyon Creek, brother Curt (Kim) Dallas of Helena, sister Jeanine (Roger) Lange of Crofton Nebraska, brother Dan (Cindy) Dallas also of Helena and many Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He is also survived by the two worst behaving cats in the history of felines but who also brought him so much comfort and peace, Spooky and Hobbs.
He was especially close to his nephew, Abel (Ashleigh) Dallas of Bozeman, Montana and was able to meet their twins who were born this past summer.
Bob was a great friend to all and was always ready for a good time and a laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A private service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to thank St Peter's Oncology department for their care and compassion during Bob's cancer journey.
Bob, your hard-fought battle is over. Soar high and free now that you have no more pain. I will see you again, my love.
