Obituary

Robert Alan DiLeo, Sr. age 54 - passed to the gates of heaven on the 30th of November 2021.Bob came into this world on January 8, 1967 the son of Michael DeLeo and Valerie Jean (Nevins), he was born in Fort Pix, New Jersey. He was raised in New Jersey as an Army brat as Michael was stationed there. Bob graduated High School in New Jersey and then attended trade school to become a CNC Machinist. Bob was united in marriage to Lillian Johnson in Corry, Pennsylvania. They began their family with the birth of Robert, Jr., and then Joseph soon followed. Bob and Lillian later separated. Bob then worked out east for a bit and in 1995 the family relocated to Lovell, Wyoming with his family. They were only there for under a year prior to getting a great job in Washington State. They spent ten years there. Miller Fabrication of Lovell then put Bob through further training out in Washington and then gave him his dream job and they went back to Lovell, Wyoming. While working for Miller Fabrication Bob was a member of the team that created and built the drill that was able to save the miners that were trapped in the Chilean Mine collapse in 2010. All 33 miners were rescued. The family resided in Lovell until 2012 when they went to Kalispell, Montana for Bob's work and then came to Helena in 2018 to work for Boeing. Here they were making the dream happen until COVID. He beat the initial disease but succumbed to Pneumonia in the weeks following. When Bob was not chasing his career, he enjoyed the great outdoors. He hunted everything he could. He trapped beaver and sold the pelts and made the famous beaver hats. Fished everything, lakes, rivers and ice fishing back east. Bob was a hard worker; he was dedicated to providing for his family. He did take advantage of his days off for hunting. Bob was fun, joking around, he loved to make his family and friends feel happy and loved. He was dedicated to keeping his family connected. He would make the calls to keep us all in the know of what was going on with each other. We know we lost dad before he was ready and certainly before we were. We will carry your soul with us in our hearts for ever more dad. We love you. Bob is survived by: sons, Robert DeLeo, Jr. and son Joseph (Becca) DeLeo. As well as many extended family members back east. Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family.
