Richard "Rick" Allen March, 66, of East Helena, MT, passed away on July 18, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Rick was born in Greeley, CO to Everett and Kay March on March 30, 1957. He spent much of his youth growing up in Colorado and Wyoming, graduating high school from Thermopolis, WY. He attended both the University of Wyoming and Carroll College (Helena, MT) and spent most of his adult life residing south of Helena, MT. Rick married Betsy Nelson in 1980, raising two children, Ryan and Bonny. After an amicable divorce, Rick met and married Carolyn Kongstvedt, welcoming her children (Josh, Wendy, and Lisa) into the family. Rick was a man of many talents working primarily in insurance and flooring, finishing his working career as manager of Finstad Flooring's warehouse. He was always ready to lend a hand and helped lay flooring and tile for most of his family. Rick enjoyed participating in most sports (his dad was a coach after all) and actively played golf, bowling and horseshoes into his retirement. Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Kay March and stepson Josh. Rick is survived by his wife Carolyn, his children: Ryan March, Bonny (Jake) Ping, Wendy (Shane) Harris, Lisa French, grandchildren: Oscar, Daniel, Jaidyn, Brylie, Josie Mae, Justin, Hadley, Gavin, Danica and brothers: Ben (Retta) March, Scott (Malena) March, and Dan (Aimee) March, sister-in-law Cindy (Scott) Hutter, stepmother Bette March and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be given Tunnel to Towers foundation. Please join us for a celebration of his life at Pappa Ray's covered patio on September 30th 3-6pm. Pappa Ray's doesn't allow children so please leave them home.
