Pat passed away peacefully at the Touchmark Senior Care facility in Helena on May 8,2021, at the age of 66. He lived a full life by all accounts until the affliction of early onset dementia took hold several years ago and progressed to it's inevitable end.Pat was born in Butte on February 21, 1955 to Ellen (Gigi Salvagni) and James PatrickDriscoll. He was the 3rd of four children, and was raised in the family home inWalkerville just north of Butte. He attended catholic elementary school thru grade 6 andthen public schools graduating from Butte High in 1973. He played football andwrestled in high school, excelling in wrestling, taking 3rd place (167 lbs) at the State AAtournament his senior year. Pat then attended Montana Tech and graduated in 1978 with a BS in EnvironmentalEngineering. He started working for the State of Montana-DEQ immediately out ofschool and remained an employee until his retirement in 2013. Pat moved to Helenapermanently in 1979 and lived at his home on Winne Dr. Pat's work took him regularlyto all parts of the state. He enjoyed his work and the travel, regularly taking a little extratime when on the road to learn the local history and see the sites. Pat never marriedand had no children, but had many good friends in the Butte and Helena areas.Pat was an outdoors guy, not camping per se, but sporting and just being outside. Heloved to play golf and tennis, and wouldn't pass-up an opportunity for ping pong. Healso played in adult soccer and softball leagues, did cross country skiing, wind surfing,and riding his motorcycle. He loved taking walks in the hills above his house with hismany dogs over the years, his favorite being his last - Dharma a Chesapeake.Pat generally kept to himself, a bit of a loner, but he was always gracious and giving tofamily and friends. I'm told by those closest to Pat over the years wonderful friend tomany, and that he was always there, ready to lend a hand when a friend was in need.You are missed brother. Pat was preceded in death by both parents and older brother Father Dan Driscoll (11/23/20), and is survived by: sister Donna (Bremer) Hollingsworth and children Jody (Tonette) , Shane (Darcy) and there families all from Butte; and younger brother John(Frannie) Driscoll and there children James, Joey (Amy), Mollie, and Elizabeth "Bizzy"(Justin) Seider all in California.A memorial service for family and friends will be held later this summer.
