IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Claire
Sicotte
January 10, 1941 – December 15, 2024
Our beloved mother, Patricia Claire Sicotte "Patsy Shea" of Helena, Montana sadly passed away on Sunday, December 15th surrounded by family and friends. She was 83 years old.
Pat was born in the small town of Walkerville, Montana on January 10, 1941, to her parents Mary and Jimmy Shea. She was born with an Irish twinkle in her eyes and was always up for an adventure. She was an excellent high school student and athlete at Butte High, graduating in 1959. She attended the University of Montana where she met many of her lifelong friends and was President of her sorority. Pat graduated with a master's in French and Math. Among her biggest academic achievements was earning a Fulbright scholarship to study abroad in France.
She settled in Helena, Montana, to raise her children and taught Math and French middle school at CR Anderson. She was a wonderful mother who was always there for us when we needed her, offering support, wisdom, and love. Pat graciously cared for her aging parents and was the heart and soul of the extended Shea family. She was cherished by her grandchildren, who will always remember her stories, laughter, hugs, and unconditional love. She was so kind and graciously helped anyone in need.
Pat loved living in Montana with its rugged beauty and exploring its rivers, lakes, hikes, and cross-country ski trails.
She is survived by her three children Colette, Mary, and Joe; her grandchildren Gianna, Keegan, Will and Shea; and her siblings Anita Skrobut, Dan Shea, and Eileen Dettman as well as her ex-husband Joe Sicotte.
The family will hold a private gathering to honor our mother's wishes.
