Patricia (Trish) Dyann Gollehon passed away at the age of 71 on July 3rd, 2022 in Helena, Montana, after a short battle with cancer. She is now walking with God and free from the chronic physical pain that she endured for many years. We are saddened to see her go but take comfort in that she is now pain free.

Trish was born on August 30, 1950 in Tachikawa, Japan where her father was stationed in the Airforce. Her family moved back to Montana when she was five years old and they settled down in Great Falls, as best as they could despite many hardships.

At 19 she met her soulmate and love of her life, Dan Gollehon. They were married in 1971 and began a new life together. Soon after, they welcomed their children, Kieve (1974) and Bobby (1976). They lived in Havre for a few years, eventually settling down in Miles City.

In Miles City Trish earned an Associates Nursing Degree from MCC and during her nursing career worked at Holy Rosary Hospital and the VA medical center. She later earned a B.A. in nursing from the University of Mary. Unfortunately, she was forced to retire early due to chronic pain from Fibromyalgia.

Still though, she was always a tenacious and focused learner and taught herself how to paint in watercolors in the following years. She completed many pieces, from miniature to large scenes, subjects and portraits. Her skill was impressive and she took part in many art exhibits. She had a unique multicolored style in her paintings.

She was also an accomplished quilter, producing many full-sized quilts. The grandest of which won the Montana Historical Society Bi-Centennial guilt competition in 1989 and it is now in the Museum of the Rockies permanent collection.

In 2004 she found and accepted the love of Jesus Christ and this became a great comfort and guidance for her in acceptance of the tribulations, blessings, and eventualities of life.

She had found peace.

She will be missed.

Trich is survived by; her husband of 51 years; daughter Kieve (Shane) Oringdulpf; son Robert (Mindy) Gollehon; grandchildren Justin Ralston, Jack and Autumn Gollehon; great grandson Dhani Ralston; sisters Kay Reynolds, Sue Parker; and brothers Gary Lanners and Rick Lanners.

Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor Trish will be announced at a later date.
