Obituary

Nona Pritchett Jones, age 74, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, in Montana following several strokes in recent weeks, after a brave struggle with late-stage Alzheimer's disease. She has been reunited in passing with her beloved husband, Thomas Jones, who preceded her in death in 2024, as well as her parents, Evelyn and Bob Pritchett, and her brother, Glenn Pritchett.

Born into a large, loving family of ten siblings, Nona spent her early childhood in Reno, Nevada. In middle school, her family relocated to Montana, the state she would call home for the remainder of her life. It was here, while working together at St. Peter's Hospital, that Nona met the love of her life, Tom. They wed and shared 43 beautiful years of marriage and a deep devotion to family, raising their cherished daughter, Amber Jones.

Nona possessed an unquenchable zest for learning and a profound love of reading. In her peak years, she could effortlessly devour a 400-page book in just two days, absorbing everything from diverse religious texts to westerns and historical Montana novels.

Her faith was equally foundational; she was a deeply dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In her younger years, she found immense joy and pride in her active involvement, gathering comfort and long-lasting friendships within her vibrant church community.

Nona's warm spirit lives on through those who survive her: her daughter, Amber Jones; her sisters, Sharon Brown and Debbie Clark; her brother, Cecil Pritchett; and a host of many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Nona's life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1610 E. 6th Ave, Helena, Montana.

In honor of her memory, flowers may be sent directly to her daughter at the church for the memorial service.

For those wishing to make a financial donation in her name, a Helping Hand page has been established on Amber's Facebook page.
