Mirl was called home to heaven, succumbing to cancer in a battle that he just couldn't win. He was a real man's man, with a heart of gold and generosity and concern for others needs above his own shined through. He fell in love with Marty Olgilvie Greany and always felt fortunate that she brought four kids to the table that he loved as his own and went to work making sure that they were all cared for and knew they were loved. He was a proud grandpa and his eyes lit up whenever he saw them. Mirl's love for life, work, ethics and all the wonderful memories will live on now in his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was our rock, always could be counted on and never a burden to others.Mirl rodeoed starting in high school and continued through Pro Rodeo until his las run at the Senior Pro Rodeo in Las Vegas when he was in his 40's. He was a teacher to young men getting into Bulldogging and was still giving advice to those that would find him at a rodeo and ask him what they needed to critique to make them better. As a driver and trainer, Mirl worked for Mergenthaler's Trucking for over 35 years until his retirement in 2012. He was recognized by them as one of few that never had an accident. Mirl missed a lot of the kid's accomplishments because he seemed to be always on the road, but he cherished his time at home and spending it with his family. After retirement and moving to Arizona, he and his good friend Bob Wing started their own business steel fencing and as he would say, "living the dream" on the land he panned and built for he and Marty to have their horses and dogs. He had what he called his Arizona family with the tight knit group that wintered there and then came back to Montana in the spring and summer so they could be with the kids and grandkids here.Mirl was preceded in passing by his dad and mom, Francis and Flora Muchmore. He is survived by his wife, Marty; children, Kyle (Marie) Greany, Klate Greany, Kaycee (Carson Merkel), Kade (Alyssa) Greaney, 5 grandchildren, Miles, Kelsey, Kolby, Carter and Hartley Jo, his sister Marilyn (Kevin) Connor, and nieces and nephews Jenni (Ryan) Grovom, Jake (Nava) Connor, Daniel (Loretta) Muchmore and all their children Lexi, Bridger, Hudsen, Paetyn, and Caprice. He had many close friends that he considered family too and you know who you are because sharing that he loved you was easily spoken by him.We love you Mirl and as you would say, until we see each other again "Ride and Rope!"
