Lloyd Allan Scheff passed away at Ft Harrison VA Medical Center in Helena, MT from lung cancer, on July 25, 2025, a day after his 76th birthday. Lloyd was born July 24,1949 to Lyle and Viola (Klug) Scheff of Sherburn, MN. He was the third of six children.

He was baptized and confirmed at St John's Lutheran Church. Lloyd graduated in 1968 from Sherburn High School. As a teenager Lloyd worked on his parents' farm. He was given a 1956 red and white Chevy which was his pride and joy.

Lloyd was drafted into the US Marine Corp at Camp Lejune North Carolina, in September 1969. After he was honorably discharged in May 1971, he attended the University of Minnesota Mankato. His interest and studies were in mining technology. He also worked in construction of the I-90 freeway. He continued his studies in mining technology in the energy fields of Wyoming and Montana. At this time, he was a heavy equipment operator. After living in Montana for many years, he did residential renovation of vintage homes. Following retirement, Lloyd enjoyed work at Costco.

Lloyd was a hard worker, had a one-of-a-kind free spirit and loved having a good time. He had a kind heart for animals and enjoyed the outdoors and the mountains. He especially loved Montana and called it God's Country.

Lloyd is survived by Lana Scheff, CA, Larry (Laura) Scheff, WI, Leah (Greg Davy) Scheff, AZ, Layne Scheff, AZ, several nieces/nephews, grandnieces/nephews, many cousins, and friends.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents Lyle and Viola, sister Lynn Hybbert, niece Lindsay Hybbert, grandparents, several uncles, and aunts.

He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Montana State Veteran's Cemetery at Ft Harrison, MT on September 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
