Obituary

Leslie Ann Fisher (“Les”), of Helena, Montana, passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 56, with her loving husband, Wade, by her side. In her final days, she was surrounded by the love and comfort of family and friends. Leslie fought courageously against an aggressive cancer until the very end, showing remarkable strength and grace throughout her journey.

Leslie was born in Helena, Montana, on April 12, 1970, to Paulette and Doug Duncan. She grew up in Helena alongside her older brother, Jay Duncan, and spent most of her life in the community she loved. After graduating high school, Leslie attended Oxnard College in Oxnard, California, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting.

After returning to Helena, Leslie began working as a dispatcher, where she met the love of her life, Wade Fisher. Wade, then a Montana Highway Patrol officer, introduced himself after hearing a new voice on the radio. What began as a chance workplace connection soon grew into a lasting love story. The couple were married at Grizzly Gardens in Helena on July 11, 1998, and together they built a life centered around love, laughter, and family. They welcomed their daughter, Christine, on August 2, 1999.

Leslie went on to build a successful career with Montana State Fund as an IT Analyst. Dedicated to personal and professional growth, she later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University in 2016.

Leslie is survived by her devoted husband, Wade Fisher of Helena; her mother, Paulette Sprague of Helena; her brother, Jay Duncan of Helena; her daughter, Christine Fisher of Helena; her stepson, Mike Fisher of Billings; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her father, Doug Duncan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 3, 2026 at Simple Cremation Montana & Sunset Funeral Service. The service will be officiated by Mike Fisher. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Leslie’s life, memory, and the love she shared with so many.
