Obituary

Klint Kyle Fisher came to the end of his earthly days on February 24, 2024 after an 8 month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was so fortunate to be able to have time with all of his immediate family and many friends in the days and months preceding his death. Klint is survived by his wife of almost 27 years (Jesika Gates Fisher), his two loving sons (Isaac and Jonah Fisher), his parents (Bill and Linda Fisher), and his sister [Kodi Lewis (& Tim, Aidan and Alexa)], along with Jes' parents (Dave & Connie Gates) and brothers [Josh (& Malinda, Gina, Livy and Maryn Gates) and Jake Gates(& Carly Reiser)]. Klint left his mark on this world and was a true Montanan to the very core. While he was born in Aurora, CO on November 12, 1974, he spent the majority of his life in Montana, growing up in Bozeman, starting his family in Spokane, Washington and then raising his boys in Helena. He loved all things outdoors including: flyfishing, hiking, backpacking, camping, and mountain biking. He was happiest when he was in nature and was proud to raise boys who loved it as much as he did.

Klint's childhood was spent in the mountains and valleys around Bozeman. He went to Monforton school, Bozeman High, and was a proud graduate of MSUs School of Architecture.

Klint grew up in the Nazarene Church and met his wife, Jesika at church youth group when he was 17. They were high school sweethearts who married on August 16, 1997. After graduating from MSU, Klint and Jes moved to Spokane, WA in the summer of 1998. In Spokane, Klint worked at NAC Architecture while Jes dabbled in a couple different fields before becoming a stay-at-home mom when Isaac Daniel was born on May 2, 2000. On December 19, 2001, Jonah Owen completed the Fisher family. Klint and Jes seized the opportunity to return to Montana in 2008, most excited to raise their boys in the mountains and valleys they grew up in. From infancy on, Klint and Jes loaded up the boys and their lovable labradors (first Junior then Moses) to venture to nearby rivers to camp and fish whenever they had a free weekend. Their favorite days were days spent at the river followed by greasy burgers in a small town bar on the way home. Whether it was Mexico, Belize, Hawaii, Utah, Ireland, Washington or just up the road on the Little Blackfoot, Klint loved it most when he had a fly rod (not pole) in his hand or a mountain bike under his feet.

Klint left his mark on Spokane and the state of Montana through the many architectural projects he worked on over his years. He was most proud of Central School in Helena. His design and leadership in architecture will be missed. His dry sense of humor will be missed. His knowledge of fishing will be missed. He will be missed. Klint loved and led his family so well and was deeply committed to whatever he set his mind to, whether his family, his work, or his hobbies.

Klint's memorial will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Grandstreet Theatre in Helena, MT at 12:00 PM, immediately followed by a reception at Central School.
