IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth August
Haab
October 27, 1933 – February 14, 2024
Kenneth A. Haab passed on February 14, 2024 following an extended illness. Ken was born on October 27, 1933 in Great Falls, MT to August J. and Linda Haab. Following graduation from Great Falls High School, Ken joined the United States Air Force and served four years. After obtaining a teaching degree, Ken enjoyed a 39-year career teaching business courses at the Helena College of Technology.
Ken married Fredella Day on December 28, 1958. Together, Ken and Freddie raised their family in Helena, enjoying Spring Break trips to the Pacific Coast and summers camping at Kading Campground. Ken and Freddie enjoyed traveling in retirement, attending grandchildren's sporting events, and membership in the Helena Cribbage Club No. 25.
Family meant everything to Ken, and he lived his life setting an example of how to be a family man, setting the bar high for his children and grandchildren. Not surprisingly, Ken spent his final days surrounded by his loving family, in person and thought.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Freddie Haab, children and spouses Freddi (Mike) Haab-Fiedler, Dale (Bill) Hritsco, Kent (Melissa) Haab and Katie (Jeff) Gleason, grandchildren Tim (Felicia) Fiedler, Jacob Gleason, Ashley Gleason, Carson Hritsco, Nicole Hritsco, Amanda Haab and Brooklynn Haab, and great-grandchildren Winston Gleason, and Jonathan, Artemus and Mattix Fiedler. Ken was predeceased by an infant son, Alan, his parents and sisters Thane and Gladys.
