IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joshua Patrick
Tucker
January 14, 2000 – January 16, 2026
Joshua Patrick Tucker, age 26, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026. He was taken far too soon and had so much life ahead of him. Joshua is cherished as a son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and a genuinely good person.
He was born on January 14, 2000, in Globe–Miami, Arizona, to Herman Alvarado and Pamela Tucker. Joshua spent his childhood in Miami with his mom, his aunt Cathy Russell, Casey Tucker, and his grandmother Carmen Tucker. Later, he made Helena, Montana his home, where he lived and worked through his teenage and adult years eventually earning his GED.
He was known for being with those closest to him, always teasing his siblings, babysitting his nephews and nieces, or cruising with his cousins and friends listening to 2Pac. He carried a big heart and lived life his way, always doing his best to find joy in each moment. He was a light to many of us, with his steady and bright presence; and a blessing to anyone who was lucky enough to call him a friend. He always offered an ear for listening, a big mischievous smile, and calm and genuine nature invited you to truly be yourself around him.
Although he carried his share of struggles, Josh did his best not to let life weigh too heavily on him and faced the world with his head up, offering a smile, a joke, and sometimes a cigarette. Always by his side was his dog Shya, his companion for 10 years, who stayed with him until the end.
He is deeply loved and will be carried on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Joshua is survived by his brother Mark Tucker; sisters Malorie Tucker, Melissa Tucker, and Jasenia Cazarez; his mother Pamela Tucker; his grandmothers Juliette Alvarado and Carmen Tucker; aunts Kristina Alvarado, Lariena Alvarado, Cathy Russell and Lisa Spry; uncle Daniel Alvarado; cousins Joseph (Rachel) Pichardo, Angel Marquez, Ruben Marquez, Bruce Lewis, Desire Hernandez, Elbert Hernandez, Marlena Benavidez, Jayden Alvarado, Junior Alvarado, and Ari Alvarado; his nephews and nieces, Aidan Tucker, Esteban Lafountaine, Eliana, Anisa, and Alia Redeagle; his girlfriend Mystic Heavyrunner; and many more beloved family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Simple Cremation Montana and the Helena Indian Alliance on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
I wish I could take the pain away
If you can make through night, there’s a brighter day
Everything will be alright if you hold on
It’s a struggle every day, gotta roll on…
“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9
