JOHN MARK DREILING Dec.18, 1949 -- Dec. 18, 2023

Mark was the first born to Joseph Roy and Patricia Grace Dreiling in Denver, Colorado, on December 18, 1949. He was later joined by two brothers and a sister. After graduating from Cherry Creek High School, Mark proceeded to serve his country through enlistment in the U.S, Navy. His training and duties were maintaining Naval aircraft electrical systems. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal. Moving to Helena in 1993 to join his soon to be wife, Mark enjoyed the hunting and, in particular, the fishing experiences available in Montana. He held numerous jobs ranging from drugstore clerk, to golf course grounds keeper, to testing laboratory technician. He gained many friends and acquaintances through his participation in AA and achieved 25 years of sobriety which he totally appreciated. After enduring a lengthy decline in health, the debilitating effects of COPD took their final toll on Mark. He died at home on December 18, 2023; 74 years to the day from his birth. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gail Abercrombie Honoring Mark's wishes there will be no service. Simple Cremations Montana has assisted with arrangements and notifications. Under their directions, cremation has taken place.
