IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jerrold "Jerry"
Lundberg
October 10, 1933 – February 8, 2023
Cowboy, logger, forester, firefighter, mechanic, welder, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather are just a few of the accomplishments of Jerrold "Jerry" Lundberg, who left us early on the morning of February 8, 2023.
Born to Ben and Ida Lundberg on October 10, 1933, Jerry grew up in Helena and on the family ranch in Canyon Creek as the youngest sibling to sister Shirley and brother Dick.
Upon graduation from high school in Helena, Jerry entered the United States Air Force, serving honorably in Korea and being discharged in 1956.
He met his wife of 67 years, Helen, and they were married May 13, 1956 in Wheatland, Wyoming. They were later joined by son Michael in 1957 and daughter Anne in 1959.
They raised their family in Helena and later Lincoln where Jerry eventually retired from the Forest Service.
Upon retirement, Jerry and Helen were able to enjoy and nurture granddaughters Emma Lundberg and Krista Lundberg and grandson Scotty Martell.
Eventually Jerry built his dream home along the banks of Canyon Creek, from which he departed.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen, son Michael (Teri) Lundberg, daughter Anne (Steve) Martell, granddaughters Emma Lundberg and Krista (Denton) Marshall, grandson Scotty Martell, great-grandson Campbell Marshall, and Campbell's new brother or sister we will all be meeting this spring.
Jerry will be missed dearly by his family and friends left behind for now and welcomed by his family and friends who left before him.
No services are planned, but feel free to donate to the cause of your choice in Jerry's name.
