Obituary

Jeannine Brown passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 28th.  She is finally resting after an arduous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jeannine was undoubtably one of the most genuine souls to walk this planet.  If you ever had the pleasure of having a conversation with this incredible woman, you always left feeling better about yourself than you did in the beginning.  A meaningful exchange with Jeannine, was always prefaced by a heartfelt inquiry about your own family and personal well-being. She often put her own pain and suffering aside, ensuring those she cared about understood what it meant to be loved.  Always gracious, the first words out of her mouth to every medical professional were "Thank you for what you do."  It's no wonder that everyone fought over the opportunity to participate in her care.

The "Everywhere Energy" was her place of worship, along with all its magnificent colors and creatures.  Tenacious in their defense was a calling true to her soul.  She would often say that her only wish is that we all be kind to one another. Her three-word mantra "I choose happy" epitomizes her outlook on life.  How fortunate would it be to reserve a place in her heaven.

Jeannine is survived by her loving wife and soulmate of 40 years, Robin.  She is celebrated by a very large family  including  her mother Barbara, siblings, Cordell (Harriet), Sherrie (Pat), Scott (Lisa), Yvonne, Wayne (Teresa) and the Rent-a-kitty, Sophie.  She will also be missed by a myriad of nieces, nephews and too many friends to name.

"I have been blessed with family so talented and loving that I could ask for nothing more.  To be surrounded by a family of friends so large and generous has made this earthly plane nothing less than heaven." Best to all, J Leigh Brown

As per Jeannine's wishes there will be no funeral.  She has been cremated and awaits the time when Robin will join her in a ceremonial spreading of their ashes on the Missouri River, reminiscent of their kayaking adventures together.

Jeannine and Robin would like to give special thanks to Dr. Rachael Safyan, Fred Hutchison Cancer Center in Seattle, WA, the staff at St. Peter's Cancer Treatment Center and finally, Dr. Jessica Bailey who has taken care of our entire family for years.  She, along with her compassionate Hospice staff helped us transition through this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to any wildlife organization in Jeannine's name along with her wish that we all "choose happy".   Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family.
