James H. Allan, 87, formerly of Great Falls, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2020 in Helena, with his wife at his side. James, "Jim," was born on February 10, 1933, in Lewistown, Montana to George Allan and Veda (Gibson) Allan. He resided most of his adult life in Black Eagle and Great Falls. Jim owned a service station and was a certified mechanic specializing in diesel and foreign autos, he was also a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed his time as a mason; (Euclid Lodge No. 58). In retirement you could find Jim woodworking, camping, boating, and traveling. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ada. He is survived by his wife, Kay of 32 years; three stepchildren: Mark (Mary) Aragon of San Diego, Lori (Scott) Walter of Helena, & Jacki (David) Riley of Austin as well as eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a daughter, Suzanne (Kelley) Tynes of Lincoln as well as her three children and four grandchildren. A small private family gathering will be held at a later date. Jim was very loved and will always be in our heart.Simple Cremation Montana assisted the family.
