Obituary

Frank George Madsen, age 86, of Helena passed away on February 8, 2026.

Frank was born on January 20, 1940, in Havre, Montana to Ted and Anna (Friezen) Madsen.

He worked as a farmer and then served in the US Army as a combat engineer for 6 years.

He married Lois Poirier. They were married 61 years.

He worked REA Express Transportation for five years, then Nelson Distributing. He then went to work for Mergenthaler’s and K& D Trucking and R&K Trucking until his retirement in the late seventies.

He loved hunting and fishing in his younger years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Milton, and sisters, Frances and Anna Mae.

He is survived by his wife Lois, son Theodore, daughter Tammi and her fiancée Mike LeMaster, grandchildren Robert (Noel), Krista, Patrick, and great grandchildren, Melody, Lily, and Roxy, brother Bill Madsen, and sister Judy Vosen.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Noon at the Montana State Veteran’s Cemetery with military honors. The family will share the location of the reception after the services at the cemetery.
