Florence "Sheila" Sentino-Aviles was born on December 3rd 1947 to Emillio Sentino and Felecita Feleciano in Holualoa, Hawai'i and passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 21, 2021 after a courageous two year battle with cancer in Helena, Montana. The youngest of 9 children, Florence grew up caring for numerus nieces and nephews as well as working in the coffee fields picking coffee beans. She loved camping with family at the beach in Kailua Kona, her dad's bbq foods, school sports such as softball and volleyball. She met her husband Raymond Aviles Jr in her senior year of high school and were married in 1965. They had four children together; Lisa, Hernando, Juan and Lonetta. Florence dedicated her life to her family who brought her the most joy and purpose in life. She also worked various jobs from healthcare to banking. She loved to travel and explore all over the U.S. with their family eventually settling down in Helena, Montana in 1993 where she spent her time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Although Florence was far from home, she always kept her Hawaiian, Filipino and Puerto Rican culture and traditions alive. One of her passions was cooking; there was never a special event that she didn't cater with homemade gandule rice, pasteles, lumpia and more! She loved teaching her daughter Loni how to make these dishes, and has taught three generations her favorite recipes. Florence loved music, she had an amazing singing voice and loved singing gospel songs expressing her love for her Jesus Christ and Savior. She played the ukulele, organ and the guitar performing at various nursing homes bringing a little joy and culture to the sick and elderly. Most of all she enjoyed gardening, and sharing her passion for plants and flowers with her family. Florence is preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Florence Aviles, her brother's Henry Serion, and Joe Sentino. Sister's Rose-Marie Gomes, and Loretta Gomes. Florence is survived by Raymond, Hernando, Juan and Lonetta Aviles. Grandchildren; Creeana (Jason) Rygg, Jamie Nevins, Bradley Nevins, Wade Aviles, Milo Aviles and Paloma Aviles. Great-Grandchildren; Diego, Zavier and Jaxon. Siblings and many nieces and nephews.
