Elmer Franklin "Frank" Melton Jr. passed away from natural causes surrounded by loved ones.

He was born May 4, 1945, to Elmer Franklin "Bud" Melton and Shirley Hewitt in Portland, Oregon. That union produced three children Shirley, Frank, and Iola. When Frank was 6 years old, Bud married the love of his life, Rose Thrailkill. They became a family of five with Rose's two children, Gary and Sharon.

Frank married Dixie Williams in 1966. The union produced three daughters, Tina, Michell (Ted), and Shannon (Richard). He then married the love of his life, Diana Ireland, in 1979. They had a combined family of eight children, Theresa, Deborah, Michael (Maria), Scott (Amber), and Heather (Danni), as well as Frank's daughters. They had quite a houseful.

Frank enjoyed motorcycles and classic cars and took pride in his yard. He never turned down camping.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Iola, brother Gary, sister Sharon, and two grandsons.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diana, daughters Tina, Michell (Ted), and Shannon (Richard), stepchildren Theresa, Deborah, Michael (Maria), Scott (Amber), and Heather (Danni) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
