Celebrating Life and SpiritFriday, February 25th 2022 - 01:00 PM - Saint Marys - 1700 Missoula Ave, Helena, MT 59601Ella Mae Vonada was born in Helena, Montana, on October 2, 1940, to Charles and Margaret Vulk. Ella passed away on Monday, February 21st, 2022 into the loving arms of our heavenly father.She was raised on a dairy farm in the Helena valley and worked with her mother in the home and garden, with Dad in the milk barn, and brother Bob in the fields. She attended Helena schools, and graduated from Helena High.In June of 1958, Ella left the farm and began a 64-year career in bookkeeping and office management at several Helena businesses. At the time of her passing she was working at KGR Radio in the morning and helping her daughter Colette in the afternoon with her apparel decorating business.On December 6, 1958, Ella married Raymond Vonada in Helena, and two lovely daughters were born in the union.Ella enjoyed camping, sewing, crocheting, knitting, crafts, and scrapbooking. While writing a family history book, she took time to locate and meet long-lost relatives on her fathers side in Romania!The greatest enjoyment of her life was her family, both near and far. She loved going to sporting events for her daughters and grandchildren from the time they were very small through their high school years.Ella is survived by her husband Ray of 63 years; daughters Colette (Chad) and Theresa (Ken); grandchildren Katelyn, Braden, Riley and Kailey; brother Bob Vulk; brother-in-law Robbie Vonada (Patty); and nieces and nephews Mike, Sandy, Jackie, Bobby, Debbie and Jimmy. She also has many relatives and friends not only here in the US but also Romania. Norma Leman, Steve Sheldon and Debbie Senecal are also very special people to her.She was preceded in death by her father and mother, father-in-law and mother-in-law, 4 nephews, 4 brothers-in-law, and 3 sisters-in-law.Pallbearers are Braden, Riley, Jimmy, Bobby, Mike and James.
