Michael Douglas Murray of Lincoln, Montana died on March 22, 2022. He was 67 years old.

Doug was born on May 30, 1954 in Southern California to Patricia O'Brien and Robert Walter Murray. From a young age, Doug loved fast cars and Harleys. After highschool, Doug joined the Navy and proceeded to build a Triumph chopper that he owned until the day he died. After Doug's military career, he met Lynne while fishing with her parents and later married her. They had two children together and worked to instill honesty, compassion and hard work in everything they did. His children will always remember how he was always there for them and that he loved them very much.

Doug was always working on a project. For many years he could be found working on his 1978 GMC pickup or building his 1954 Panhead that he had wanted since he was a child. He continued to work on his Panhead until he was no longer able to do so. Doug also loved to raise animals and raised a pig as well as a flock of chickens at his home in Pollock Pines, much to his neighbors' irritation.

Doug made his living as an upholsterer and truly loved what he did. Many of his best friends came from his time as an upholsterer. After a life-changing motorcycle accident forced Doug to retire from upholstery, he spent his time building guitars and staying in touch with his friends. His friends will remember the pranks he would play on them and how he lived every moment to the fullest.

Doug passed away peacefully after a long battle with an infection. He will be remembered as an excellent father, grandfather and friend to many people.

Doug is survived by his two children and three grandchildren who all loved him very deeply and will always have him in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his wife Lynne.
