IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy
Padron
April 26, 1949 – December 5, 2024
Dorothy Padron, from Helena, Mt., died at home in her sleep on December 5, 2024. She was 75 years old.
Dorothy was born on April 26, 1949 in Denver CO. to Lucy and Joseph Romero along with 9 siblings Dorothy was the second youngest of the bunch. Dorothy met and married her high school sweetheart Daniel Padron at the age of 17 and shortly afterwords moved to California for a brief period of time to work as a nanny for her brother. After a year in California the couple decided to move back to Denver where they welcomed 2 girls of their own.
In 1976 Dorothy wanted a better life for her family and they packed up all their belongings and picked a spot on the map and moved their little family to Montana. With out any connections they found their way to Helena where they have lived for the last 48 years. Dorothy had several jobs working for the school system, restaurants, and finally retiring from the State of Montana. However she always kept busy and even after retirement she went to work with her friend at Supreme Lighting until they closed their doors.
Dorothy was a visionary and ahead of her time a trend setter in fashion and when her girls were little she always made sure that they were dressed with the latest clothing fashions. Dorothy was an extremely hard worker, making real sacrifices for the good of her family. If you were to ask her girls about their mom they would tell you that she made work look effortless because she always surrounded work with her natural ability to teach. She would take every opportunity to teach you a lesson as she was "showing" you how to cook, sew, do laundry or even make your bed. She was a real good mom in every sense of the word and she also fulfilled the role of a mom to various nieces, relatives and even the broken hearted who came to live with them throughout the years. She loved bringing people together through the amazing food she cooked and always made sure there was space for one more at the table. She fell in love with Jesus and tried to model Him in her life which is a legacy that she passes on to her family and which was evident just by being around her.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 58 years Daniel Padron, her two children Jackie Osborne and husband Randy of Helena, Gwen Williams and husband Chuck of Helena; her five grandchildren Levi, Christopher, Justine, Nicole & Rachel and her 12 great grand children and her sister Natalie Romero. Dorothy is proceeded in death by her parents.
Dorothy was very family oriented and in honor of Dorothy the family has chosen to celebrate her life on her birthday in the spring of 2025.
