Obituary

Doris Levandowski was born in Yakima, WA on February 18, 1947, to William Earl Warfield and Charlene Hope Haller. They moved to Lewistown in 1949. They lived with her grandfather on a small farm. She attended school in Lewistown, graduating from Fergus County High School in 1965. She received her nursing degree for LPN from Helena Tech in 1972. She worked at the old St Joseph Hospital then moved to Great Falls, MT. She also worked as a waitress and bartended at a few different establishments during her younger years.

As a youth, wintertime was spent ice skating almost every night after her homework was finished or she could be found bowling or hanging out at the Moose Lodge. Saturday afternoons were spent at the movie theater with friends. In the spring, she worked in the green house after school then off to do her schoolwork. In the summer, she and the neighborhood kids played softball, swam in the city pool for free and she taught swimming lessons. They also enjoyed floating in the Spring Creek.

Doris joined the Women of the Moose in 1970. She became a lifetime member in 2022. She held many positions in the Women of the Moose, earning her Academy of Friendship and College of Regents. She was a great mentor to the younger members. She held positions in the Moose Lodge also. She had a lot of fun attending Moose functions, conventions and hanging out with her Moose family.

She met the love of her life in 1985, Richard Levandowski. She told a story how Richard said, "whoever could spell his last name he would take them out on a date." Doris did just that and was taken on a date by Richard. They went on many weekend trips together around Idaho, Utah, Nevada and Montana. They were married in Reno, Nevada on October 20, 1990.

Doris was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2018, her sister Jeanette Archer in 2020, brother Walter Reicher, her parents and her Uncle Harlan Haller.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Larry Archer, and her "adopted family".
