Donna Mae Rummel, a loving mother and wife, was born December 20, 1948, in Warren, Minnesota and passed away January 20, 2025 at the age of 76 after a brief illness in Helena, Montana.

Donna lived in Minnesota until the age of five, when her family came to Montana. She attended schools here and graduated high school in 1966.

Donna went on to become the loving mother of Mike and Steven Knutson-Rummel, then met the love of her life Peter Rummel and they were married April 10, 1975, and had another son, Jeremy Rummel.

Donna was proud and blessed to be a stay-at-home wife and mother. She and Peter raised their three boys in Lolo where Peter worked for Champion Lumber until the business closed.

Donna and her family moved to Helena in 1991, where Peter went to work at Ash Grove Cement, and she continued her career as a loving mother and wife. Donna enjoyed raising all different breeds of rabbits and even participated and won prizes at local fairs and breeder shows.

Peter was a hunter safely instructor and Donna participated and read the tests to the children who had reading or learning disabilities. In her spare time Donna liked to work puzzle books and find unique gifts for her great grandchildren Chloe, Toston and Samuel and loved to hear her granddaughter Tori Dess's barrel racing tales.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Herman Knutson and Fran Rice and her brother Greg. She is survived by her best friend and husband Peter Rummel, her three sons: Mike, Steve, and Jeremy Rummel, granddaughter Tori Dess, Great Grandchildren Toston, Chloe, and Samuel, her sisters in law: Linda and Julie, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brother-in-law Carl. She will be truly missed.
