Donna Elaine Karper of Helena, MT died in her home on August 26, 2024. She was 78 years old.

Donna was born on June 18, 1946 in Siloam Springs, AR to Donald and Leota Elaine Pickard. The family moved to Bethany, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school in 1964 then attended some business school classes.

She went to work for the Bell System in 1965 and continued with them to 1982 during which time she moved from Bethany, OK to Denver, CO in the late 1960's.  She met Philip Karper in June 1979, they married in Jan. 1980 and moved to Helena that same month. In 1982 she began work as office manager for a children's dentist and continued with that job until 1993, she then retired, moved outside of Helena, and was a homemaker with Philip.

She enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, and gardening; but especially her dogs and cats that she had through the years. She was best known for her infectious laugh. Donna is survived by her husband, Philip, and her brother, David Picard of Seattle, WA. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Danny Pickard of Seattle, WA.

Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family.
