Obituary

Donald Michael Coleman, passed away August 7, 2020, at St. Peter's Hospital in Helena, Montana. Donald was born in Bangor, Maine February 20, 1956, to Donald and Joan, (Joanie) Coleman. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1974. He went on to receive his pipefitter's license. Don worked as a pipefitter for several years, and with his work, he traveled throughout the country. Eventually, his work took him to Montana, where he fell in love with the beauty of "Big Sky Country". Montana became his second home. Donnie was very fortunate to be able to call two of the most beautiful spots in America his home! Donnie loved sports. He was a wonderful athlete and had a beautiful golf swing! Donnie was a huge sports fan of all the Boston Sports teams. He had a great time traveling to Fenway Park with friends on several occasions. He continued to cheer on his Boston teams from Montana. Donnie was also a great cook, he had several specialties, including an incredible chicken Parmesan! Donnie was a wonderful son, and a great brother, who loved his family very much. He was a fun-loving guy, with a clever wit and loved to make people laugh, and he was great at it! He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Joanie Coleman. He is survived by his brother Stephen Coleman, and wife Ellie, sister Julie Nickerson and husband Andy, and nieces Holly and Megan. Donnie had many wonderful friends including Derek Matheson of Montana, and his long time great friend, Scott Ames.Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family.
