Dennis Ray Sorrels of Helena died peacefully at home May 13, 2026. He was 82 years old.

Dennis was born on July 15, 1943, to Robert and Virginia Sorrels, longtime residents of Helena. Dennis was a member of Helena High School graduating class of 1961.

In 1964, Dennis met and married Connie Ronish of Cheyenne Wy. Dennis and Connie would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this July.

In 1966 Dennis joined the Helena Fire Department, serving the City of Helena as a firefighter for 25 years. He retired in 1991 as a Battalion Chief.

 After retirement Dennis enjoyed traveling with Connie in his 2008 and then 2014 corvette. He served as President of the Helena Corvette Club for several years.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Connie; two daughters, Kimberly Dallas (Curt) of Helena and Kelley Sorrels Hall (Randy) of Vernon Florida, his grandson, Abel Robert Sorrels Dallas (Ashleigh) and twin great grandchildren Mason and Bryson of Bozeman.
