"Curt" was born November 17, 1937 in Patterson, California to Joel and Dora Quist and died peacefully on April 23, 2025 at Edgewood Senior Living, Helena, Montana.

Curt grew up on the family farm in rural Wisconsin. He attended Salem 4 Grade School and later graduated from Maiden Rock High School. He attended St. Olaf College, while there he met and married Julie Marie Overbye on April 20, 1957. Julie and Curt lived in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, over the years, but settled in the Maiden Rock area to raise their family. In 1977 Curt and Julie moved the family to Fairfield, MT. Curt did sales and repair for E.P. Ekergren John Deere Implement in Choteau, MT where he excelled knowing both the machinery and its use as he continued to work on the family farm. Later they lived in Great Falls where he sold vehicles for Peirce Automotive.

Curt loved to travel and with Julie at his side, they traveled all over the Midwest and western United States. They especially enjoyed camping and fishing throughout Montana.

He is survived by his children, Jennie Cooper, Sarah Guyton, and Andrew (Celeste), as well as grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by sisters: Helen Louise Christianson, Vivian (Richard) Fergerson, and Donna Wilken. Proceeded in death by his wife Julie, brother: Joel Ednore Quist, brothers-in-law Ernie Kamrath, Mike Wilken and Gary Christiansen, and son-in-law Jim Guyton. A service is planned to celebrate his life at 10am. on May 13, 2025 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fircrest, WA. Private interment in August at Hellgate Gulch, Canyon Ferry Lake, MT.
