Constance Marie Preston passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Helena, Montana, at the age of 78. She was born on October 27, 1947, in Spokane, Washington, to the late Bernard and Marie Helean.

Connie grew up in Missoula, Montana where she attended St. Anthony's Elementary and Sacred Heart High School. She married John Piquette in 1966. During their marriage, they welcomed four children: Colet, Brian, Emily, and Yvonne.

Connie completed a bachelor's degree in History with a minor in library science and a graduate degree in counseling at the University of Montana. Connie was the map librarian at the University of Montana's Mansfield Library for several years.  After she completed her graduate degree and became a certified counselor she worked for many years at Shodair Children's Hospital and with Boyd Andrews Pre-release Center in Helena.

Connie found love and married Clifford Preston in 1997. They enjoyed the outdoors and travelling around to county fairs and street dances where they danced their socks off. They lived in Townsend for many years until health issues intervened. They found a happy life at the Beehive Homes in Helena from February 2025 until their passing.

She was preceded in death by Clifford, who passed away on October 26, 2025, one day before her 78th birthday and just weeks before her own passing. We suspect that she missed Cliff too much and went to heaven to reunite with him and her loving family members. Connie was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers Larry, Mick, and Dick Helean.

She is survived by her four children, six grandchildren (Thomas, Xavier, Spencer, Jacob, Nathan, and Annika), her sister Julie Clark, and brother Phil Helean.

Our family is immensely grateful for the loving care the staff at Beehive Homes gave to Connie (and Cliff) as well as Dr. Sheri Howell and the Sage Clinic staff, and Headwaters Hospice.
