Obituary

Colleen passed away of natural causes in Helena, Montana.  She was 95 years old.  Colleen was born to William and Doris Steinbach in Helena, Montana.

She spent most of her life in the middle fork of the Dearborn area on the family ranch north of Wolf Creek.  Colleen went to grade school in a one room school house then to Helena for high school, graduating in 1948.

Colleen married Herf Ingersoll in 1951.  She was a great cook and mother, never missing her children's events or an activity in the Dearborn community.  She loved her ranch life and the independence it provided.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Augusta, Lewis and Clark Cowbelles, Dearborn Homemakers, and Eastern Star.

Colleen is survived by her children Janet Ingersoll of Lincoln, Ron (Linda) Ingersoll of Wolf Creek, grandchildren Dustin (Rachel) Ingersoll of Wolf Creek and Chase Ingersoll of Helena, sister Barbara McDonough and brother Buz (Verna) Steinbach of Wolf Creek, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Colleen is preceded in death by her parents and husband Herf.

Colleen spent the last few years of her life in Helena. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hunter's Pointe, Edgewood Senior Living and Saint Peter's Hospice.  No services are planned.  Simple Cremation has assisted the family.
