Cody was born in Helena, Montana on February 15th, 1990 to Ray and Sherrie Bertrand.Cody Ray loved to cook, and at 18 years old began as a dishwasher at the Silver Star Steakhouse, where he worked for 14 years and became a sous chef. A star employee from the beginning, he quickly became the backbone of the restaurant, and was beloved by both customers and staff. He was dedicated to his work, and his bright smile, eagerness to learn, and positivity stood out to everyone who knew him. The restaurant will never be the same without him.Cody is preceded in death by his grand mother Billie Jean Ness and his uncle Orin Ness.Cody is survived by his parents Ray Bertrand of Marysville, WA and Sherrie Bertrand of Helena; his brothers Zachariah, Derek (Lisa), Christopher "Kissy" of Helena; and 6 nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.Cody was a great son, brother, uncle, and friend.
